The food was okay, and the chef’s were wonderful! I’m not sure of who this man was but he’s older and I believe he is one of the hosts. Very rude and disrespectful. He did not let us know that everyone had to be on time in order for us to be seated for our dinner reservation before arriving. Once we got there, he began yelling at my sister telling her that “he told her everyone needed to be on time” and he won’t be able to seat us until everyone gets there. He then began to sit another family down who did not have a reservation in addition to their whole party not being present. When we questioned why did the other family without the reservation get to sit down, he stated “because they know what they want”. Which didn’t make any sense because again, they did not have a reservation and planned on doing the family style hibachi like us. This man began yelling and screaming at my sister. No one yelled at him and everyone was respectful. He was rude, disrespectful, and dismissive. The restaurant itself is very dark and dingy. Never again.

We came here on a Saturday for a birthday dinner with 12 people and made a reservation. It was surprisingly not very busy. There is a small bar by the door where you can order drinks while you wait around if you do end up waiting but we were seated and our orders were all taken. Everything comes with a little miss soup and salad before the cook comes out. The cook will come out with everyone's food at the same time to cook in front of you and make a few jokes and show off his skills. Everything was tasty and it went by in a timely fashion.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but Japan Samurai earned this one. This was easily one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. I made a reservation, showed up on time, and was treated like I was lying the second I mentioned it. The staff didn’t just “miss” the reservation—they acted like honoring it was beneath them. Even after I pulled up my receipt and confirmation right in front of them, they still gave nothing but attitude. No apology, no attempt to fix it, just rude, dismissive behavior like I was the problem. It was honestly embarrassing to stand there while they acted like basic customer service was optional. If you’re going to run a restaurant, maybe start with the basics: honor reservations and treat people with a little respect. Instead, this place delivers arrogance, disorganization, and zero accountability. Plenty of restaurants manage to be both busy and professional. This is not one of them. Save your time, money, and dignity—because you won’t find any of those respected here.

Plenty of seating. The host was nice. There is a living room like area for waiting. They also have a dining area without the hibachi set up. The entertainment was great. We enjoyed watching him. I had the chicken hibachi. In my opinion, there was not much flavor. Everyone else had the shrimp and scallop hibachi. No complaints except some of the scallops were more chewy and didn’t have a nice sear. My cucumber avocado roll was nice and fresh. The soup and salad were flavorful and fresh. Not bad for the price. Keep in mind, there is an 18% service fee. FOR ANY SIZE GROUP. The place is a bit outdated. I’d eat there again , probably. But not a place I’m excited to go back for more.
